Puzzle Prism – iPhone App Review

Puzzle Prism ($2.99) Version – 1.2.0 REVIEW – “Addicting 3D puzzle game along the lines of Tetris” If you enjoy puzzle games like Tetris and Bejeweled you will love Puzzle Prism.  The basic idea is that you have to keep a stack of blocks from piling up too high as they slowly rise from below.  The stack of blocks moves in a square pattern of four blocks and the only way to make it go back down is to fill rows entirely to make them disappear! The graphics and sound in this app are simple, but not so simple that they take away from the gameplay itself.  The main menu has a kind of “futuristic” look to it and is very simple.  I really liked the fact that you can access all of the games settings and modes with just one touch from the main menu.

Babo Crash – iPhone App Review

Babo Crash ($0.99) Version – 1.01 REVIEW – “Hectic Match 3 game is loads of fun!” There are a few things that I look for in an iPhone game.  The first thing is that it needs to be fast paced.  Most of the time when playing a game I only have a few minutes that I want to kill so I just want to get right into the action.  The second thing is the ability to jump in and out of the game quickly if necessary.  Babo Crash by Playbrains fits both of these criteria, especially the fast pace! While a lot of match 3 games have focused more on the strategy side of things, Babo Crash is all about speed!  Not only are you timed to finish each level, but you actually get more points for matching tiles more quickly.  When you open up the game there are a few options at the menu.  There is a “How to Play” button that will teach the basics, but if you’ve played match 3 games before there is not much new here that you won’t be able to figure out by just playing.  The options menu is pretty basic, just sound fx and music toggle’s and an option to turn hints on or off. Once you’re ready to start the game just touch “Play.”  You’ll be taken to a screen full of blocks of all different colors.  You’re objective is to match 3 blocks of any color in a row by grabbing and switching blocks.  As you get further into the game you will notice some of the “blocks” have faces on them.  These blocks each have special abilities that allow you to quickly remove a large amount of blocks.  To activate them you must match them with three blocks of their color in a row
