REVIEW – “A new way to browse the App Store!”
Do you spend a lot of time looking for that next great app? I know I do,
and while the App Store that’s built into your device is easy to install apps from, it can be difficult to figure out what apps are gaining popularity. Well thanks to PositionApp you can now get all kinds of information about how different 
apps are performing in App Stores all over the world directly from your iPhone or iPod Touch!
The first thing that you’ll see after the loading screen is the “Dashboard.” On this page there are actually three pages that you can scroll through by swiping side to side. These three screens will show 8 apps that are moving up the popularity charts the fastest within the top 100 apps, within the top 300 apps and there is one more screen that will show the stats for the top 8 apps from “favorite” app list.
On the bottom of the screen you’ll notice a small menu with several options. This menu allows you to view all your “favorite” apps, to search the top 300 apps, or to browse the top 300 apps of any category and in any country that you may choose! You can also choose to browse the top 300 apps of “any category” from this menu as well.
Once you’ve selected a country and app category to browse you’ll be taken to a list of all 300 apps for the category you selected. By default they are sorted by their “position” in the App Store from top to bottom. This can easily be changed by touching any of the sort buttons above the list. Using 
these buttons you can quickly and easily sort the apps by which ones have changed in popularity the most, by their names, or even by their release dates! You can also choose to view only paid apps or only free apps by touching the appropriate button below the app list in the center!
In the bottom right corner of the app browsing screen is another button that allows you to select the time period that is used for the “position change” statistics. What this means is that you can set whether the amount of change an app has made is 
calculated by the day, week or even by the month!
If for some reason you decide that you want to change and view what other countries an app is being sold in and how it is doing all you have to do is touch that app. From this information screen all you have to do is touch the “info” button that will appear in the upper right corner to view the description that is in the App Store for that app.
While the “favorites” list is a nice feature for developers and such, what I really liked about this app was just its simplicity. The ease with which you can quickly browse app store apps in several different ways simply amazing and has saved me a lot of hours hunting for new apps! To sum it all up, if you are an app junkie like I am there is no reason that you should not already have this app on your iPhone or iPod Touch! It’s fast, it’s easy and it’s free!
